A special
thank to all of the volunteers that coordinated and assisted with
the Fourth of July Parade activities including Deb Palm and family,
Sally Sbnarr, Jane Mount, Jan Greenheck, Tanya Perri, Lynn Yudice,
and others.
We also
thank Sheriff Hamblin for taking time to be the parade marshal. There have been many complimentary remarks
that this social activity is another enjoyable aspect of living in
Wexford Village.
Please refrain
from placing your yard waste on the cul de sac islands. Besides the
appearance, it inhibits the proper cutting of grass on the circle
islands.
Wexford
Prairie has become the official name for Lot 400 based upon voting
during May and June. Thanks to the over 100 individuals who took the time to vote and provide our little park
a "real name."
The Madison
Park District planted about 20 new trees in Wexford Park provided
by a $2500 gift from the Wexford Village Park Fund. In unthinkable
act of vandalism, about 7-8 trees were pulled out of the ground during
the night of July 13th. An alert resident quickly called the Park
District and the trees were replanted with, hopefully, little detrimental
effect. Any information that can be provided relating the identification
of the vandals would be greatly appreciated. Greenway lights have
been installed along the path adjacent to the Saukdale Condos, Harvest
Hill, and West Branford Lane. There have been many positive comments
about the inviting nature of that area due to the completion of the
lighting project .
