Meeting Minutes

Present:                Trish Watts, Ken Schmidt, Jim Rather, Jason Jensen, Don Michalski, Roger Kong, Darrel Fleming, Marc Herstand

Not Present:         Alan Martin, Paul Stang, Todd Wiegand, Darren Fortney

 

Two new members were welcomed to the Board, Darrel Fleming and Marc Herstand

 

  1. Minutes (Jason) – Minutes presented. Darrel approved and Ken 2nd. Board approved.

 

  1. Financial Report (Don)

o        Don supplied financial report prepared by Paul

o        2004 Budget presented, approval deferred until next month

 

  1. Introduction of Dan Carl, running for 9th Supervisory District

 

  1. New Business

·         Slate of new officers presented for approval of Board

o        President: Don Michalski

o        Vice President: Darren

o        Treasurer: Paul Stang

o        Secretary: open

·         Board approved with open Secretary position, to be filled at the next Board meeting

 

·         Board duties selected for 2004

o        Architectural Control – Al & Todd (Darrel would like to help with this)

o        Block Captains – Jim

o        City Relations – Al

o        Contracting – Don

o        Covenants – unassigned

o        Directory/Website – Trish

o        Parks – Al

o        Social – unassigned

  1. Committee Reports

·         Architectural Review (Al) – no report

·         Block Captains (Jim) – Still need to replace one captain

·         City Relations (Al) – no report

·         Contracting (Don) – PKK Lighting fixed two sets of lights. A third set of lights behind Saukdale & Harvest Hill has a short that has not been found as of yet

·         Covenants (Don for Darren) – Covenant issues were discussed

·         Directory & Website (Trish) – nothing to report

·         Parks (Al) – nothing to report

·         Traffic Control (Don) – nothing to report

·         Social (Don) – nothing to report

·         Website (Trish) – nothing to  report

·         Welcoming (Trish) – nothing to report

·         Wexford Watch (Don) – nothing to report

 

  1. Old Business

·         Sidewalks on Old Sauk & Gammon Road – Four of the six households were represented at the meeting

o        One of the homeowners said that they were told by developer that the plowing and mowing was included in their association fees. Some indicated that they may not have bought the house if they would have known the actual situation. Others were told of supposed coverage by realtor.

o        Board took opinions of homeowners and will follow-up with a decision. Do we have any legal issues for doing this for 20 years – adverse possession?

o        Compromise solutions were discussed including Wexford doing snow-plowing while homeowner’s do mowing; or charge neighbors $10 per snowplowing

o        There is an agreement with Barnes to cover the plowing under the Association’s contract until a decision has been made by the Board

 

  1. New Business

·         Statements and dues – Trisha will sending out 2 forms, one for database and one for letter to residents. She will send out the draft of the documents to Board members this week for approval
