Present:                Jason Jensen, Don Michalski, Ken Schmidt, Roger Kong, Todd Wiegend, Jim Rather, Alan Martin

Not Present:         Paul Stang, Darren Fortney, Trish Watts

 

  1. Minutes - Motion made by Al, 2nd by Ken. Board approved.

 

  1. Financial Report (Paul)

·         No report this month

 

Ψ       Committee Reports

·         Architectural Review (Al) – Still need person to lead Review instead of Al. Al will bring back to the Board next month the costs associated with the retrival of records from the archive agency

·         Block Captains (Jim) – nothing to report

·         City Relations (Al) – nothing to report

·         Contracting (Don) – Some circuit problems were found in a couple of lights that PKK Lighting was going to fix

·         Covenants (Darren) – covenants discussed

·         Wexford Watch (Roger) – nothing to report

·         Directory & website (Trish) – no report

·         Welcoming (Trish) – no report

·         Parks (Al) – Canadian thistle at Strickers and retention pond. Don notified City Parts Dept. who came out to cut retention pond.

·         Traffic Control (Don) – Alderperson Paul Skidmore let Don know that we will be getting an email copy of the survey for the neighborhood in regards to traffic-calming techniques

·         Social (Don) – Forth of July Parade went well

 

  1. Old Business

·         Harvest Hill lighting project – Two lights were put in to many positive comments

·         Light Pole Removal – PKK Lighting has removed a couple of redundant lights. This will save the Association $400 per light head/pole combination

·         Update on City Swim Meet – Jim reported that the meet went well and without incident

 

  1. New Business

·         City Citation for Halfman property – City issued citation regarding hedge growing into sidewalk

·         City Citation for Longmeadow property – City issued citation for residence having more than 2 garage sales in one year. Board was alerted to property that was having a “perpetual” garage sale.

·         Vandalism at Wexford Park – Eight recently planted trees in Wexford Park were pulled out of ground and left with roots exposed. City Park Department was notified and they came out to replant, but most look to be dead. The trees carried a one-year guarantee and should be able to be replaced free of charge.

·         Plantings at the Sawmill/Gammon sign – Ken will draw up plans for the plantings for the next meeting.

·         Proposal for barrier on Middleton Street – Some Association residents would like to see the barrier cleaned up. Al reported that the City of Middleton erected the barrier and Madison will not spend any money to clean up barrier they it claims should not be there.

·         November Annual Meeting – Don will call Mayor’s office to invite him to November meeting.
