  1. Old Business

·         Light Poles – Ken talked to MG&E about upkeep of poles. They would charge us $18,000 per year for light, electricity, and upkeep (we have budgeted about $13,000 this year). Alliant suggested changing from dusk-to-dawn timers to dusk-to-dusk+6 hours and mentioned that some poles could be eliminated because they are so close together. Board created subcommittee to further research and create the long-term plan for the Wexford light poles. Committee includes Don, Jason, Ken and Jerry Daniels. Committee will meet with PKK Lighting (who has been maintaining the association’s lights for many years) by next board meeting to understand the basics of our system and PKK’s suggested next steps.

·         Friends of the Kettle Lakes – next meeting is January 10th. They have approached Don on joining the Board. They are planning a bonfire party on January 18th on Tiedemann’s Pond, burning much of the rubbish they picked up over the last few months

·         Brush trimming of circle – Waiting for Barnes’ bid. Don seeking one other bid from Harrington

·         Covenants (Darren) – Darren with Don’s help is finishing writing covenants summary to be included in next Wexford Watch

·         Wexford Watch (Roger) – no report

·         Social (Jim) – no report

·         Parks (Bill)

Ø       Ice skating rink – Dick inquired if we can get benches for it – Bill will follow-up with Jim Morgan from the Parks department regarding this issue

Ø       Bill reported that Parks department is studying the effectiveness and impact of cleaning out underbrush in the woods next to Wexford Park to deter the late-night juvenile activity, making the area safer at night

Ø       Bill has not heard from Alderman Paul Skidmore concerning no parking signs immediately around the park to help discourage the late-night activity

Ø       Another west-side night police officer will be starting January 20th

·         City (Al) – no report

·         Directory & website (Trish) - Monthly meeting minutes and Board of Directors pages have been added

·         Block Captains (Dick) – nothing to report

·         Contracting (Don) – nothing additional to report

·         Architectural Review (Al & Marty) – no report
